TAMU-CC Graphic Design Student Internship Program

Student Eligibility:

• Graphic Design program students are eligible to complete an internship after completing their Sophomore year.

• Students can earn COURSE CREDIT for approved internships.

• Paperwork must be submitted for approval no later than 2 weeks prior to semester start.

• Individual student internship placements require 10+ hours per week for 14 weeks.

• For credit, student will complete:

  • Portfolio of Works done at appointment

  • Bi-Weekly Journal

  • Regular Check-ins with Professor

  • Employer Evaluation

•  Students can get credit for up to 2 internships (6 hrs. total)

EMPLOYER Eligibility

• Must be a professional place of employment and related to graphic design, advertising, marketing, promotions.

• Must fill out required paperwork for appointment approval.

• Compensating interns is not required, but encouraged.

Internship Payment Reimbursement

Did you know that your for-profit business could potentially offer the intern a wage of $12.25 per hour with TAMU-CC paying $5.00 of that rate? The reimbursement is only allowed during the dates of employment that coincide with the semester that the student is enrolled in the Internship course.
