As we navigate during this unprecedented time, we want to make sure AAF-CC continues to fulfill its education mission to educate members on the latest trends in technology, creativity, and marketing and encourage young people to enter the advertising business. Since we are currently unable to have in-person membership meetings, we are not having to provide the monthly meal that is included in our members’ annual dues. In lieu of a credit for the meal cost, we are asking members to consider donating that amount to help support the following new and exciting education initiatives.
Rising Star Scholarship to be presented to the “Best of Show” of the AAF-CC American Advertising Awards Student Competition
Funding of local student entries for the AAF-CC American Advertising Awards Student Competition (contributing members will be listed as sponsor of student entries at the event)
Corpus Christi Chapter Educational Scholarship (provided if funding is available) to be awarded at AAF-CC Year In Review
Annual club donation to the District 10 Advertising Education Scholarship to assist with the cost schools incur to compete in the National Student Advertising Competition held at District Convention and National Convention
Internship program to connect our members to available interns from our local colleges and universities
Professional education continuation through more programming
TAMUCC Student Advertising Campaign where contributing members are eligible to be chosen as the “client” for the TAMUCC Spring 2021 Design in Advertising Class overseen by Graphic Design Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Art Nancy Miller and receive a possible 14-17 sets of spec work at no cost
